Yes, in most of cases, we can renew your prescription if you have had the medicine prescribed within the last 15 months. Usually, we prescribe smaller packaging because long-term medication often requires a follow-up visit to the clinic.

Example of the situations where Doktor.se cannot assist you with the prescription through digital care:
- If you need a prescription for narcotic or addictive medicines.
- If you need a prescription for medicines that are not prescribed by the doctors at primary care clinics.
- If you need a prescription for medications issued under a special license, in Swedish called "licensprepar".
Here is how you renew your prescription in the app:
- Don't have the Doktor.se app on your mobile phone? Start by downloading the Doktor.se app from the App Store or Google Play.
- Have you already installed the Doktor.se app? Open the Doktor.se app on your mobile phone or tablet.
- Click "Log in with BankID"
- Your BankID needs to be installed on the same device as the app.
- If this is your first time logging into the app, we will ask you to create an account, provide your email address and phone number. and accept the terms of use.
- Click "Seek care now"
- Select category "Renew prescription"
What happens when you start an errand? Initially, you will be asked to answer a few questions in the chat. Once you've done with the questions, your errand will be placed in a queue, and you will receive help from a doctor or midwife shortly.
